Sending out your pitch deck in Europe, you can expect to wait over two weeks (15 days) for the first 50 percent of your visits. And you’ll likely wait nearly two months (53 days) for 75 percent of your visits. There are a lot of reasons for the discrepancies. It could be that your potential investors are more spread out. We also don’t see the same level of urgency in EU funding rounds as we often see in the U.S. No matter the reason, you’re going to want to have enough runway to survive the fundraising gauntlet in your region. While I usually recommend having at least six months in the bank, you may want to look at having 9-12 months of runway so you’re not desperate by the end of your fundraising round.
Earnings before interest, tax, depreciation, amortisation and changes in financial instruments fell to $221 million in the six months ended December 31, from $278 million a year earlier on a continuing operations basis, as low lake levels reduced hydro generation and gas shortages increased fuel costs.
In a filing with the US Securities and Exchange Commission, GenMark also said that on Jan. 14, it entered into a separation agreement and general release with McNally. In accordance with the agreement, McNally is entitled to benefits, including a gross lump sum payment equal to six months of his base salary in effect as of the separation date; an amount equal to McNally’s target bonus percentage under the firm's 2019 bonus plan multiplied by a percentage tied to the achievement of the company-level performance targets under the plan; and an aggregate of 35,702 restricted stock units held by McNally as of the separation date.
The “Robin Hood”-like telenovela set in 1950s Argentina picked up the Golden Martin Fierro — the fest’s top prize — and six more kudos. They were for telenovela, lead actor and actress in a telenovela (Facundo Arana and Carina Zampini), supporting actor and actress in a drama (Luis Machin and Julia Calvo) and original music.
“Genomics has the potential to dramatically improve patient care in oncology, but the full promise of precision medicine cannot be realized without a software platform to bring genomics to the point of care,” said Jonathan Hirsch, who founded Syapse six years ago as a 23-year-old Stanford University graduate student. “It is critical that genomic data be integrated with the patient’s medical history and presented to the clinician within the workflow of their EMR.”
ASB's first-half net profit fell 5 per cent, mostly reflecting a loss on the sale of its funds administration business and a flat underlying result. The bank reported a net profit of $599 million for the six months ended December, including a $28m loss from selling Aegis last year, compared with $630m in the same six months a year earlier.
Spark has reported healthy first-half financials, but is keeping mum on key sports streaming numbers - bar the snippet that Spark Sport fell within a $19m "other" category (more on which below). That's not insubstantial revenue for a new subscriber service, if only 1 per cent of the telco's total revenue for the six-month period.
Communities, companies and individuals experience the disruptions in different ways and at different times. In the US, as late as March 18—a full week after Italy’s crisis had become dire, days after six California counties had been given the order to shelter in place and the day after Ohio canceled its primary elections—some citizens could be heard complaining about the overreaction, others were still decrying the massive hoax being perpetrated, and others were simply wishing away the situation and attempting to maintain a normal schedule. In other words, while some were still in the first stage, others were entering (if not well into) the fourth stage.
