Cofactor URI

Cofactor URI (also known as Cofactor IRI or Cofactor URL) is a uniform resource locator (URL) that acts as a long-lasting reference to an entity and can be used to identify nodes in the Linked Data graph.

Cofactor URIs can be considered permalinks because they remain unchanged and are not susceptible to link rot. These URIs are intended to be used and cited by sources outside Cofactor. They are meant to be static and not human readable, which enables them to identify the increasing volume of content items referenced on the web.

Cofactor URIs consist of followed by an identifier that denotes the entity of interest. Crucially, if an item is renamed, its Cofactor URI remains unaltered.
