Subsequently I complained to the Office of the Ombudsman. This was after the RBNZ demanded greater accountability from bank boards in its report on bank conduct and culture, done with the FMA. If the RBNZ was doing this it should also deliver greater accountability itself and publicly release the review of its director attestation regime, I argued here.
